KHARE Children in Need is a nonprofit organization committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children and strengthening the communities that support them.
Our work began with a clear recognition of the challenges many children in Ethiopia face as they try to learn and grow with limited resources. In schools and community learning spaces, we saw children motivated to succeed despite scarce supplies, and few support systems. Their determination inspired the creation of KHARE.
At our core, we focus on education as a pathway to opportunity. We work to support children through access to learning resources, school support, and programs that encourage literacy and long-term success. As our organization grows, we are building toward a broader, holistic approach that includes health, economic empowerment, and community-based support.
KHARE exists to serve children who are most at risk, including orphans and those facing extreme hardship, while working closely with families, educators, and local partners. Our approach is grounded in sustainability, trust, and a commitment to growing responsibly alongside the communities we serve.
We are building something meaningful, step by step, with the goal of creating lasting change for children and future generations.
